Songwriter Keith Allen provides the musical bones for Group 4, crafting his unique songs on the acoustic guitar. New songs are then set free in the studio, where they are developed and recorded. Richard then incorporates his own musical style into the songs and adds some textural vocal harmonies plucked from the ether.
Group 4's live sound is very acoustic, with piano and subtle guitar effects adding a contemporary edge to songs about isolation, relationships and being caught out by life's unexpected circumstances. With a drive to channel their music into the wider South West music scene, Group 4 play at a variety of music venues in Somerset, including performances at local acoustic clubs and summer festivals. With two performances at the studios of BBC Somerset Sound adding to their live experience, their music has been well received by music lovers in the South West.
